The Gin Mill was created as an homage to an era when living the good life meant fine food, great steaks and drinks with premium spirits, the planned eclectic atmosphere provided an excellent springboard for developing the brand.
The simple one color logo compliments the strong design elements of the restaurant while allowing flexibility in its use. From the building exterior to everything within, the logo puts the cap on the brand in its physical location and serves well as an anchor to expand the brand through all of their marketing efforts.

Client: TapRoot - Decatur, IL
Chef John Redden had a vision that he'd been cultivating for years. TapRoot offers "contemporary comfort" food in an historic location with a large bar, plus dining and banquet rooms on Merchant Street in downtown Decatur.
Goss Advertising designed everything from the logo and graphics on the windows, to menus, t-shirts, coasters, posters, ads, and fabrication of a wood 3D version of the new logo for their guest welcome station. We also provided Decatur themed art for the banquet room, and then topped everything off with a modern responsive website filled with photos of their unique menu items.

Client: Cancer Care Specialists - Decatur, IL
Established in 1984, this physicians’ group was on the verge of a major expansion, including constructing the new Cancer Care Center of Decatur, branching out into more locations throughout the state of Illinois and establishing their presence as a world-class provider of cancer treatment.
Goss Advertising worked closely with the client to make sure that everything was coordinated for their grand opening. We started with a logo that conveys the personal, individualized care provided and works well everywhere it is used. We also planned and designed interior and exterior signage, all print materials, grand opening campaign ads and extended their new identity with a redesigned website.

Client: McDonald's - Decatur, IL
The McDonald's near Millikin University was planned to be a showcase location featuring photos of Decatur area landmarks as unique elements of interior design. Goss Advertising was selected to provide the photography for the translucent divider panels and wall graphics used throughout. Originally asked to provide four to six photos, we had so many unique shots that the owner convinced the interior designers to use 15 of our photos for the restaurant.
From the Transfer House, Millikin and the Stephen Decatur statue, to the Decatur Area Arts Council, Merchant Street and The Lincoln Theatre - we think that we covered Decatur's highlights as only natives can. We were really pleased by how great these all looked together with the forward thinking interior design.
